The GT Golden Bike is a pimped out Marathon Team or Zaskar Team. With XTR components and carbon fiber everything, it’s sure to be the fastest thing on two wheels. And it comes in any color you want, so long as it’s gold.
2. How does the GT Golden Bike program work?
It’s simple: win an officially sanctioned Golden Race and you’ll win the Golden Bike. The only catch is you have to defend it at the next Golden Race. Don’t worry, we’ll fly you and a friend there and cover your race fees. What you should worry about is winning again. Because if you don’t, you’ll forfeit the Golden Bike to the rider who just beat the pants off you. Ouch.
3. How do I win the GT Golden Bike?
Easy. Just be the first non-pro rider to cross the finish line at an officially sanctioned race in the Golden Race Series.
4. Who’s eligible to win the GT Golden Bike?
Every non-professional rider in the world 18 years or older on race day. If your frame was given to you by a sponsor or if you’re paid to compete in races of any type, tough luck.
5. How much is the Golden Bike worth?
You can’t buy the Golden Bike anywhere. In our not-so-humble opinion, that makes it priceless.
6. With its Independent Drivetrain, XTR components and carbon fiber everything, will the Golden Bike make me faster?
Yes, but only while you’re on it.
7. What if I have a wedding/mani-pedi/corporate retreat and cannot make it to the next race?
Just let us know as soon as possible and we’ll get the Golden Bike to the 2nd place finisher so he can defend it. And you might want to get your priorities straightened out, Sally.
8. What’s the best way to get a Gold Digger’s phone number?
Well, you can start by winning the Golden Bike.
9. Do the Gold Diggers respond well to pick-up lines?

10. Can I compete for the Golden Bike after having lost it?
You can compete for the Golden Bike as many times as you’d like. And we applaud your tenacity.
11. What exactly do I get for winning the Golden Bike?
For starters, you’ll get the Golden Marathon Team or Zaskar Team. And we’ll help you defend it at the next race by flying you and a friend there, putting you up for two nights and giving you your own personal GT Golden Mechanic. We'll also give you a $250 Sugoi gift certificate and a Golden Race jersey. But most importantly, you’ll enjoy the fame and glory inherent in winning the Golden Bike. That is, until you lose it.

The only cost to compete for the Golden Bike is the race fee. And if you win, we’ll cover travel for two, two nights in a hotel and pay your next race fee. If you lose, you get nothing.
